Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) ~ Provides advocacy for students and for adults affected with learning disabilities.

Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) ~ AHEAD addresses current and emerging issues with respect to disability, post-secondary education, and accessibility.

Learning Ally ~ An invaluable educational resource providing recorded materials for all people who cannot effectively read standard print because of a visual perceptual, learning, or physical disability.

Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) ~ Organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with disabilities and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, and provides professional development.

The ARC of the United States (Mental Retardation) ~ A national organization for people with intellectual and related developmental disabilities and their families.  Provides advocacy, supports and services.

Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA) ~ An independent, nonprofit organization of attorneys, advocates and parents established to improve the quality and quantity of legal assistance for parents of children with disabilities.

National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) ~ An association which represents federally mandated programs that protect the rights of persons with disabilities through legally – based advocacy.

Child Development Institute (CDI) ~ provides a wide range of resources related to child development, psychology and parenting including search engines and links to other sites.

Consortium for Appropriate Dispute Resolution in Special Education (CADRE).

Internet Special Education Resources (ISER) ~ The ISER is a directory of professionals who serve the learning disabled and special education communities.
